Does BitDefender know if we are about to have a VPN restriction put in place in the UK? I hear the government keep posturing about implementing one. It would be disappointing if it materialised.

As of February 2026, VPNs remain legal in the UK. From what I've read, the government is consulting on potential restrictions to limit their use by children under 16, specifically to stop them from bypassing age-verification filters. A total ban is unlikely to happen. New measures may target VPNs that allow bypassing safety protections.
