I’m using Bitdefender Total Security for years and recommended this to friends. They ordered It and
had a 1 account, 5 devices activation code and I was supposed to install it for them as they are elderly people who are not so computer minded.
However, their daughter thought she could it but when things didn’t go as expected they called me.
Here’s the problem:
1 laptop (already had Bitdefender Free installed) with their normal email address.
The new Bitdefender Total Security was installed on an Android Phone which went OK. However, we couldn’t distribute the other 4 devices. Long story short, the install and activation was done on the Android Phone, no problem with that, but I found out that the activation was done with the wrong email account. It was a typing error but also a non-existing email address.
Tried to change the account on the laptop with the wrong email address which doesn’t go well.
My question is, is it possible to do sort of a re-activation with same activation code and the right email address. I then would first de-install all Bitdefender progs and finally reinstall again.
Or is there an easier solution?
