Bitdefender Central 2FA issue

Hi everyone,

Since around the same time as the forum login issue I'm having a 2FA issue with central. Central no longer remembers the cookie for the trusted device.

I select the "remember this device" and it does add the device in central to the trusted devices but keeps forgetting every time I log out and then back in.

It also shows my device as windows NT 10 yet when the 2FA still worked it showed my device as windows 10.

I have a ticked with support.

Support had asked me to generate HAR file for the 2FA issue and the community login issue (this issue seems to have been fixed now):

Indicate to us the account used to log in.

2.To assist us in troubleshooting the issue you are experiencing, could you please generate and send us a HAR (HTTP Archive) log, during the login attempt? This file contains detailed information about the web page's performance and will help us identify the root cause of the problem.

You can generate such a log by following these instructions: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/83096/

Once you have generated the HAR file, please attach it to your reply to this email. This will greatly help us in diagnosing and resolving the issue more efficiently.

Regarding the 2FA code demanded for your trusted device:

Could you please delete the device from the "trusted device" section and mark again the option "trust this device" during the first authentication?
If the issue persists, please send us another HAR log also for the Central 2FA issue.

They have also let me know that the community login issue has been resolved:

It seems that when I log in to the forum and adding my device to trusted it seems to remember it for the forum but it always asks for a new 2FA code when I log in to central.

Bitdefender central does seem to remember the 2FA trusted device when I log out and log back in within 5 minutes of having entered the 2FA code and added my device to trusted.

After 5 minutes it seems to forget and asks for a new 2FA code.

Hi everyone,

When I logged in to the forum just now I got a 2FA prompt again so it also still forgets the forum 2FA but does seems to remember it longer then for central.

Before I logged in to the forum I first logged in to central and selected "remember this device" for the 2FA. Why did I also get one for the forum as I logged in to the forum within the 5 minute window that the 2FA is remembered by central?

I used to only get one time it asked for the 2FA per device and then could log in to either central or the forum with the same device as trusted.

Is this because of this bug or has bitdefender support changed something that causes this?
