I’m reaching out to share a significant pain point regarding the user experience with SecurePass, which I am currently using on both Windows (Browser Extension) and Android.
The current authentication workflow is creating massive friction. Every time I need to access my passwords, I am forced to enter my Bitdefender Central password first, followed by the Vault password. This "double-login" occurs far too frequently, especially after application updates or browser restarts.
The Main Issues:
High Friction: Entering a complex Master Password multiple times a day is stressful and counter-productive.Security Paradox: Because the process is so tedious, I’ve found myself forced to keep the password in a text file just to copy-paste it completely defeating the purpose of a secure manager and creating a major security risk.Platform Consistency: The issue is persistent across both my PC and my mobile device, making the ecosystem feel "heavy" rather than helpful.
I previously used Kaspersky Password Manager, which handled this balance much better with seamless session persistence and faster unlock options.
Is there a roadmap to streamline this? We need better session persistence on Windows and more reliable biometric integration/PIN options that don't require the Central password every time the app refreshes. If this "stressful" workflow continues, I will have no choice but to return to my previous provider.
Has anyone found a workaround to keep the vault unlocked for longer periods without compromising the entire Central account?
