Dear Bitdefender Product Team,
I am a long-time user of your security suite, and I would like to propose a critical feature enhancement to further strengthen Bitdefender's defense against sophisticated Ransomware and targeted attacks.
Feature Proposal: Manual Anti-Tampering File Guard
While Bitdefender offers excellent "Safe Files" and "Ransomware Remediation" features, I suggest adding a granular "Anti-Tampering List" where advanced users can manually add specific files, folders, or registry keys to a "Strict Lock" state.
Key Benefits:
- Direct Kernel-Level Protection: Any process (regardless of its privilege level) attempting to modify, rename, or delete these flagged files would be blocked unless explicitly authorized by the user.
- Software Integrity: This would allow users to protect not only personal data but also critical configuration files of third-party security tools or system-critical binaries from being disabled by malware.
- Zero-Day Resilience: Even if a new ransomware strain bypasses heuristic detection, a hard-locked file remains untouchable due to the anti-tampering policy.
I believe adding this layer of Granular Control would be highly appreciated by the "Power User" community who prefer a proactive, manual hardening approach alongside Bitdefender’s automated AI engines.
Thank you for your continuous efforts in making the digital world safer.
Best regards,[Amr]
