Profiles not activating

The Movie Profile doesn't turn on when watching Netflix on edge and the Game Profile doesn't for some games launched from GOG Galaxy lanucher (I know you can add games to the list but this should not be necessary) .

My previous anti-malware worked better where it would enable the game mode when any program was fullscreen (I think).

Also, would it be possible to add a log when a program enables a profile?

Hi,

A bit late to the thread here, but here's what you need to do. Bitdefender automatically enables the appropriate profile based on your current activity or running applications. To enable or disable this feature:

Go to Utilities on the left-hand side of the Bitdefender interface.
In the Profiles panel, click Settings.
Turn off or on the option Activate profiles automatically.

I hope this helps. As for a detailed log showing what app triggers the respective profile, there isn't one in notifications..

I think I posted in the wrong section, I was more hoping BD would look into improving the auto-profiles to act better like other security software I used. Because when I'm working or watching a movie I don't want to be interrupted by a notification or worse have to restart my pc. And in my experience it doesn't activate all the times I have tested. I just would like if BD could make it so whenever a program goes into fullscreen mode it activates the game/movie profiles (and if possible add a log). This is my main gripe since switching, if it could be looked into that would be great!

I think Scott is right when he said that it might be complicated for the software to differentiate between what is used. The criteria to enable the profiles automatically relies on different flows and triggers. Fullscreen is not one of them and I don't think this is feasible to do..

They are talking about activating the game profile even when the game is "not" in full-screen. Which I could see as problematic, but I'm just talking about when the game "is" in full-screen. ESET, Kaspersky, Windows, and probably many more works like this.
