Just tried to access my online banking Via "SafePay" , and couldn't get into my bank online,,,, I kept getting Error messages..
My Bank's website is now using cookies, they let you choose which ones to turn off or on, such as "necessary" , "functional" , "advertisement" , and "Third Party" cookies… I shut off all of them except "Necessary" which they wont let you shut off,, and even though i shut off all their cookies "Bit Defender safe pay " still would not let access my online bank account..I could only get as far as entering my bank number page, and then my password page , and then after that an ERROR message page would appear which gave no explanation just a four digit error number.
Frustrated I even tried turning ON all their cookies to see if that would work but still got the same error message from the banks website…
I called up the phone banking rep and they said i had to shut off Bit defender and just use regular Firefox to access my online bank account. so i did that and yes now i was able to access my bank account..
I have been using Bitdefender's safe pay for a few years now, with no problems at all accessing my bank account online.. and I've been with the same bank all that time . .. The only change is that the stupid bank now has and uses cookies and i think Bitdefender sees them and is trying to protect me from them or some such thing and so it wont let me get access to my bank .
Question = is there a setting in bit defender to tell bit defender that my banks cookies are safe, or a setting that tells bitdefender that the bank website is Ok to allow access to.. ??? is there a cookie blocker in Bit Defender that my bank is in conflict with ?
there is obviously some kind of conflict now which hadn't existed before between my bank's web site and bit defender, , and its probably got a lot to do with those stupid cookies my bank has just recently been using…
a bank is supposed to be secure, private, and a safe institution , so what the hell are stupid Canadian banks like CIBC putting 3rd party (spy) cookies on their sites for !!!.. geeesh :( …
I understand functional cookies , and cookies to help the customer access features on the banks web site,, but 3rd parties being given permission by the bank to access the banks costumers personal info ,,, wow thats scary stuff !
The main reason i use security software like bitdefend is cause i like the "safe Pay" feature for banking and online shopping , bit defender's Virtual Keyboard is awesome,,, but if the stupid bank will only let me access my account using the basic firefox browser then that sucks ,, i felt a lot safer over the years using Bitdefender's "safe pay" ,, and so now what, i can no longer use safe pay cause the stupid bank wants to make even more money by using cookies to sell our personal info to slimy 3rd party corporation… grrrrrrrrr :( … gee its even getting so you cant trust banks anymore… lol… not that we ever could lol.
I would appriciate some help on this matter , hopefully there is a fix that still lets me keep using "safe Pay" to do my online banking …
cheers all and thanks in advance for any help.
