Display of the VPN status on the desktop

There are times when we’re browsing the web on our computer, entering information or opening websites, we do not realize the current status of the VPN (whether it is connected or not), because the only indication of this is hidden in the notification area (tray).

As a result, our data and IP address are exposed without us realizing it in time, or even at all.

It would be very practical and useful to have a visible indication of the VPN status on the desktop or on the existing security widget.

Is it not showing in your system tray, hidden, or in need of being enabled for Windows by going into the Taskbar settings? Unless something changed since the last time I used it?

Also, in Privacy Settings you could enable the Kill switch, to automatically stop the internet traffic if the connection is lost.

As far as the Security Widget, that is only tied in with the Security app, as the VPN being a separate app, and can be installed/uninstalled separately. So I'm not sure that could be easily tied in with the Widget.
