Upgrade from "Total Security Individual" to "Ultimate Security Family" the best way and advantages

Hi community,

i spent some years now with the Total Security license for myself, and separate license for my parents with respectively around 5 devices each attached.
Years passed, now, considering they're getting older, they often need help with their IT and moreover with security topics. In this context i'm exploring the family package to maybe propose protection as well for my sister/nephew/… IT.
My parent license expires in a month, so I moved their devices under my license for now meanwhile i decide how to proceed further.

I foresee protection for: 4 persons minimum (me and oldest people of the family with digital assets in use; up to 8 if i include sister and so on), with minimum 6 mail addresses (core family), up to 10-12 (extended list).

First, I'd like to understand what to chose the best for that situation. what is your recommendation setup and what are the advantages of having several "members".
Then what would be the recommended upgrade path as I read some misadventures here in the community regarding license upgrade…

One thing to keep in mind here, the family plan can only be activated in a Central account where there isn't another subscription running, meaning that it cannot run in parallel or overlap with other subscriptions.
