Firefox loading time with BitDefender

I have found some references in the forum, but no answer, so I ask again.

How does it come that Firefox (whichever version, including most recent one) takes eons to load when BitDefender Total Security is active on the computer (Windows 11H25).

If I restart my computer, and then after logon launch Firefox, I can take up to one minute to load!

Case in point: bdservicehost.exe jumps CPUs use to 15%, obviously scanning every bit of the application before let it go. Of course, if I disable BD, I don't have the issue.

If I leave the computer unused for an hour before calling Firefox, it then loads relatively faster.

So I conclude that BD hasn't a "safe" flag for Firefox, and goes to the whole lot of analysis…

BD is the only AV system that I know of that displays this behaviour. And Firefox is the only application I have found that is affected…

Maybe Bitdefender is doing additional inspection during Firefox’s first launch after Windows startup, especially since the delay disappears when the antivirus is disabled. I think a good way to narrow this down would be to test which protection layer is involved rather than disabling Bitdefender entirely. I would suggest checking the following:

Make sure Bitdefender, Firefox, and Windows are fully updated, then restart the system and test Firefox launch time again. Temporarily disable Bitdefender protection modules one by one, testing Firefox after each change, to identify whether the delay is caused by Antivirus, Online Threat Prevention, Advanced Threat Defense, or another module.

Also check whether Firefox has many extensions, a large profile, or security-related add-ons installed, since those may increase the amount of activity Bitdefender has to inspect during startup. If the issue persists, it would be worth sending Bitdefender Support logs showing the delay right after reboot, because this browser startup delay is not usually expected behavior..
