Bitdefender not starting on boot up: Windows 11; iPad Pro (12.9”); MacBook pro M1; and my phone!

Question

Hi, just wondered if anyone has a solution. Also how would go about setting up the VPN from the router. I ask cos I want to be-able to have better protection for my home to include my Xbox X, When I start up my phone/ MacBook Pro M!/ and my windows 11 laptop.

Any advice or assistance on this annoying issue, and whether I’m able to set up the VPN would be helpful.

As for the VPN, like Scott mentioned earlier, this is an app compatible only with Windows, macOS, Android and iOS systems. Should you require advanced protection at the network level, have a look at Netgear Armor:

Hello,

By "not starting" are you referring to the Bitdefender Agent system tray icon (bdagent.exe) that appears later than usual? This occurence is explained here:

Other than that, I find it quite unusual for Bitdefender not to start on all these devices all of a sudden, so I would first check the internet connection and if any recent changes were made to your network, firewalls, etc. Or, if there are any particularities there that could cause this, I mean, it's an intriguing scenario. Is Bitdefender on your devices still connected with your Central account and do you have a valid Bitdefender subscription there?

Support might be needed on this one, in my opinion..

As far as the VPN,  it cannot be setup in a router. From this link:

Can I install Bitdefender VPN on a router (e.g. Asus, TP-Link, etc.)?

"No, Bitdefender VPN does not support installation on routers and does not provide configuration files (such as .ovpn or .conf) or authentication details for direct integration. Bitdefender VPN can only be used through the dedicated applications for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS".

As far as the other concerns, maybe @Alexandru_BD will have some ideas for you.
