Megabasterd is written with Java and every time i try to install it Bitdefender thinks its a virus and quarantines it. This despite the fact that i have it whitelisted.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i might overcome this?

If Bitdefender detects the program as malicious, or PUP/PUA and you suspect a false positive, you can submit a sample to the Bitdefender Labs for analysis using the form available at the link below.

A potentially unwanted application or potentially unwanted program usually comes bundled with freeware software. Once confirmed, false alarms are corrected within hours. But keep in mind that if it's a PUP/PUA detection, most likely it will be kept.
In the meantime, perhaps a workaround would be to uninstall Bitdefender temporarily, then install that program and reinstall Bitdefender afterwards. Obviously there's no guarantee this will work, and before you do this you need to be 100% sure that the software you want to install is clean and safe. If you ask me, I would wait for the Labs to confirm a false positive before doing anything, as who knows what might be "bundled" with that program..
