I just renewed my subscription, but I don't have my activation code to add Bitdefender to a cellphone.
Hello,
I have a question here. How did you renew your subscription, was it done manually by placing a new order, or automatically? If the subscription was renewed automatically, it will be extended without needing an activation code. If you placed a new order on the Bitdefender website but didn't receive the activation code yet, you may consult this checklist first:

NOTE: If the purchase was made on https://www.bitdefender.com/en-us/ or if the invoice came from payments@notification.bitdefender.com, no activation code is provided. The subscription is automatically activated in your Bitdefender account associated with the e-mail address from your purchase. Just log in to Bitdefender Central and check the ‘My Subscription’ section. Your product should already be activated.
Also, check if your account meets the criteria for automatic activation:

When you purchase a Bitdefender product from the official website, the subscription is activated immediately after the payment is completed. The subscription is automatically linked to your Bitdefender Central account, so there is no need to manually enter an activation code.
Automatic activation is available only for existing customers who meet these conditions:
I hope the information is useful.

I did it on the website. I got the payment notification in my email, and on the site it says I'm fine through August 2027. I think its done correctly.
I would want the Activation Code in case I get a new PC or Phone and want to put Bit Defender on those too. I have it on 3 devices now, but the Activation Code would be for future devices.
Hi,
Yes, if the new expiration date has been updated in both your Central account and the Bitdefender software installed on your device, then this means the subscription was extended accordingly. Once the subscription is active, the activation code is no longer needed in the (re)installation process (or future installations on other devices) because all installations are managed directly from your Bitdefender Central account. To protect additional devices, go to https://central.bitdefender.com and sign in to your user account. On the Central homepage, click the Install Bitdefender Products button.
A window will appear, showing your Bitdefender subscription products. In this window, click the Install on another device button. No activation code is required, as long as you have a valid subscription with multiple slots available for protection. Just a bit more context here, the consumer cybersecurity industry is increasingly adopting a model that resembles streaming and other digital subscriptions, and this means slowly moving away from traditional activation codes. However, this doesn't actually mean that they are eliminating activation codes entirely, but the transition is more about account-based entitlement where customers subscribe for security products and services, in a similar fashion they would for streaming services and other goods which are marketed as such.
At some point in the future, I think activation codes will eventually become obsolete, but they won't be disappearing immediately. They may gradually become a redemption mechanism for certain sales channels, rather than the primary way a user continuously proves ownership. Under the newer subscription model, an activation code is used once. After redemption, the account (not the code) becomes the permanent centre of the relationship.
I hope this brings more clarity.
Alright, thank you for the info.
