Public library sign-in not working

About a month ago my sign-in to three public libraries (all with URL containing sirsi.net) stopped working. I've tried this with both Firefox and Vivaldi (Chrome) browsers. The icon shows that their is a sign-in match but when I try to fill nothing happens. I've contacted Bitdefender support three times but I only get a generic response with suggestions that don't work. I don't see anyway to get their attention to this problem. It's pretty specific to a certain domain. I've tried adding it but that doesn't work.

Just to be on the same page here, you are talking about SecurePass, Bitdefender's password manager, yes?
From what you describe, I don't think this is caused by the antivirus protection itself. Since the SecurePass detects that there is a matching account for the page, but clicking the entry does not populate the username/password fields, the issue is more likely related to autofill compatibility with the login form used by sirsi.net websites.

The fact that the same problem occurs with three different libraries using sirsi.net, and in both Firefox and Vivaldi, is also a useful clue. It may indicate that the login form was changed and the password manager is no longer correctly identifying or interacting with its fields.

A few things would be worth checking:

• First, try copying the username and password manually from the vault and pasting them into the library login page. If you can sign in normally this way, it would confirm that the website itself is accessible and narrow the problem down to autofill.
• Make sure the SecurePass extension is installed, enabled and up to date in both browsers. Again, I'm assuming that this is what you use, since you haven't mentioned it.
  If you are still using the former Password Manager, please note that it reached end of life on June 15, 2026 and has been replaced by SecurePass. If applicable, I would recommend moving to SecurePass and testing the affected pages there.
• In SecurePass, try opening the saved account from the extension and using Open and fill, rather than selecting the icon inside the website's login field.
• Check the URL stored with the saved account. Some library systems redirect between different library-specific addresses or subdomains, so it may help to save the exact login-page URL rather than only the main sirsi.net domain.
• Temporarily disable the password-manager extension and test the page manually. There is no need to disable the entire Bitdefender antivirus for this test.

Some websites use custom, dynamically generated, or otherwise non-standard login fields that password managers cannot always populate correctly.

If manual login works but autofill still fails specifically on the pages you mentioned, like I said I would consider this a autofill compatibility issue rather than Bitdefender blocking them. Now, since you've already contacted Support, I think it would also be useful to provide them with the exact URLs of the affected library login pages, browser versions, extension version, and ideally a short screen recording showing that the account is detected but nothing happens when it's selected. That should give the engineers enough information to reproduce the behavior.
