As a user who values privacy and network performance, I want Bitdefender to offer native Encrypted DNS (DNS-over-HTTPS / DNS-over-TLS) configuration options, so that I can encrypt system-wide DNS queries and apply custom filtering (ads, trackers, phishing, and malware) directly at the resolver level without needing third-party tools or running a full VPN connection continuously.
While some users manually configure DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) or DNS-over-TLS (DoT) in individual web browsers or operating system settings, this setup is fragmented and often breaks or gets bypassed by background apps, local processes, and telemetry. Furthermore, users who prefer using high-density DNS filtering lists (such as specialized ad, tracker, and malware blocklists) currently have no central way to route their device-wide traffic through a custom, encrypted DNS resolver inside the Bitdefender suite
