How to start the VPN app minimized

Good evening.

Because I choose to never shut down Windows — as that way I can continue my work right where I left off — I'm limited to restarts caused by Windows Update. So whenever the system resumes from hibernation, I find the main VPN window open, ready to reconnect.

Since this happens so often, it's become annoying to have to close it every time.
Is there a way to keep the VPN window minimized to the system tray?

Hello,

I think this can be done by disabling the Auto-connect feature at startup. This option allows the VPN to start automatically under specific conditions.

For example, you can configure the VPN to connect:

When your computer starts - I assume this is the scenario you described, since the VPN app opens and it's ready to connect.
When joining unsecured Wi-Fi networks
When starting a peer-to-peer file sharing app
When accessing specific applications, websites or website categories

You'll find this feature in the advanced VPN settings. Otherwise, there's no option to keep Auto-connect enabled and minimize the VPN window at the same time..

Automatic connection in my opinion, is absolutely essential for VPN to function properly and in this case, it is better for me to disable hibernation mode.
However, examining the behavior of the application more carefully I find that the VPN main window opens automatically when the connection is suddenly interrupted for some reason, for example due to Windows inactivity or due to Kill Switch intervention.

Hibernation mode is causing a lot of problems on my computer, especially with the PCIe adapter.

I'd like to ask if you know how to disable hibernation mode, because I think that will solve the problem.

Hello,

Ok, try this then: right-click the Start button and select Terminal (Admin), or Command Prompt - cmd (Admin). Enter this command and press Enter:

powercfg /hibernate off

That should immediately disable hibernation.
