Gmail certificate problem in Thunderbird

Hi,

Today I've had to disable Encrypted Web Scan in Bitdefender Free to be able to collect my Gmail otherwise it complains that the certificate for imap.google.com is not from a trusted source, I did try adding the path to thunderbird to the exceptions list in BD but that did nothing.

Any suggestions please?

Yes, the Bitdefender certificate is related to the Encrypted Web Scan feature, part of the Online Threat Prevention module. Turning this feature off should normally fix it (but make sure to restart your device before accessing your inbox again after). We've seen this before and I would recommend contacting Bitdefender Support directly, if the issue persists, as more information might be required for troubleshooting. State your contact reason, choose request category, then select from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.
