How do I activate Popup Blocker / eliminate nuisance virus notifications?

Hello,

The attached file shows screenshots that illustrate my Build Version # for Bitdefender Total Security, along with some nuisance virus notifications I started getting a week or so ago.

Since then, I've run a complete Deep Scan on my laptop / flash drive several times…. No threats detected. I've attempted to launch a pop-up blocker but it doesn't appear to be an available feature with my version of Bit Defender(?)

In summary, how do I eliminate these annoying pop-ups? Do I have the correct version of Bit Defender to make this happen?

Those are fake antivirus pop-ups coming from the browser:

Keep in mind that the antivirus will not detect these, because the notifications and pop-ups in this situation do not have anything malicious attached to them, but when you click on them, they will redirect to malicious sites that try to collect your data or install abusive or dangerous software. That's when the protection actually kicks in.

Bitdefender (or any antivirus for that matter) cannot take any direct measures related to this type of notification, if it's something that you unknowingly agreed on or something you enabled, like site setting, site notification, redirects in your browser or installed toolbars, extensions or applications. To get rid of these pop-ups, clear your browser’s cache and cookies, and reset your browser. If the alerts continue, check for suspicious browser extensions, notification permissions, or unwanted programs.
