Has anyone here checked whether their email address has appeared in a data breach recently? I’m curious which breach checkers you trust. I came across purevpn’s dark web scanner, which checks for exposed personal information, and wondered if anyone has tried it. What tools do you use to check and protect your accounts?

Well, if this isn't a disguised advertisement for purevpn and the question is real 😄, I would recommend Bitdefender's free Digital Footprint Checker tool, and of course a Digital Identity Protection subscription, for protection that goes beyond device security.

Also, Mobile Security comes with a feature called Dark Web Checker that can monitor your verified email addresses for information connected with known data breaches.

Dark Web Checker can do the following:

Check up to 10 verified email addresses.
Alert you when an email address is associated with a known data breach.
Provide recommended actions for each identified breach.
