Am I able to scan a specific app

HOW

Hi All,

Am I able to scan a specific app on my Android phone with BD Mobile Security?

Then, same question for BD app on a Mac OS Laptop, can I direct the app to scan a specific app?

Grateful for confirmation either way.

Thanks for your time and assistance.

Hi @HOW,

Good Day to you, as to your question for the Bitdefender Mobile Security on android, as far as I know, no, you cannot direct the app to scan one specific application or file on demand. Bitdefender for Android works automatically in the background. It is designed to automatically check all newly installed apps and .apk files upon downloading or updating.

As for Mac OS, Yes, you can easily target and scan a specific application. The quickest way is to simply drag and drop the target application from your Applications folder directly onto the Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac window or its Dock icon as per the link below that I have attached for your reference.

I hope this helps you and I look forward to your warm reply.
