So my bit defender account expired and then a few weeks later i get this nasty virus, it pretends to be an anti virus program in itself but does not allow you to use any .exe files or open any programs besides firefox. I went through trouble shooting with some guy on the phone and then went into safe mode to uninstall my old version and tried to install the new version but it said the file was corrupted. Long story short i cant install my newly purchased bit defender program, cant use my ctrl alt delete menu to try and cancel the program because it auto closes that window, cant browse my add/remove program file in normal mode ( i can in safe mode but cant find the program anywhere), or use any program on my computer at all that is an exe. So basically my entire computer is locked down from doing anything but get on firefox. And i cant run any scans through firefox because it shuts those down too.
This thing auto installs itself onto your computer you don't even have to accidentally install it.
Only solution i can think of is for some tech to remote access my computer run a scan on his end and then hopefully destroy or disable it.
Please help.
