Rootkit.patched.tdss.gen Found At Afd.sys

hi there,

BD IS 2009 has found Rootkit.Patched.TDSS.Gen Virus in the file AFD.sys, but however BD does not clean or can not found the source, i've run BD many times to find that virus, BD says "everything is OK" then when i load or run a program, BD starts to give virus alarms non-stop.

Is there any solution or any removal fot it?

please help, that makes me sick, and it forces me to format the whole system if it helps

What type of scans did you run?

It is very important to be a deep system scan.

they were standart scans and context menu scans, deep search deads on c:\windows\system32\drivers\HSF_CNXT.sys files.

right now i killed all services, incl. explorer.exe, and deleted hsf*.* files in drivers folder (have backup) and running again with deep search...

I've had the same problem with Rootkit.Patched.TDSS.Gen

BD seems unable to clean it (it says it blocked multiple viruses). The location in my case in C:\windows\system32\drivers\atapi.sys

It makes it almost impossible to work on the infected machine.

Any info would be very helpful. I'm running windows XP.
