I was intending to get the Internet Security version of Bit Defender to replace the standard Windows Security Essentials that's available with XP but, it does not have the Trojan (below) listed in its database much less detect it via the online scanner?
I've just had to reinstall an XP machine and repatch due to the Anywhere XP malware running riot on it.
Once installed and patched upto SP3 I ran the native "Security Essentials" which detected the above Trojan Virus Win32:Alureon.H. First couple of times around it deleted the said virus however, it has since stopped and keeps flagging, what looks like a false positive, on subsequent scans.
Is there anything else I can explore before going the whole hog with BitDef?
Many thanks.
