Trojan.js.redirector.cw Found

Vista Home Premium SP2 / BitDefender Internet Security 2009

My Deep Scan this morning found the item in the topic title and disinfection failed. In looking at the log, here is the entry:

This item is in my Windows Mail, Deleted Items folder. Will just deleting it from there solve this problem?

I couldn't find much information on this item. What is it?

Hello Nikilet,

To delete the virus you can simply empty the deleted items folder in your Windows Mail.

During this procedure BitDefender real time protection must be temporarily turned off.

I don't know what is going on anymore, but I always select to have immediate email notification of replies to my posts and I am not getting notifications. This has been going on for a while now. It even shows right on this page that I am receiving email notification of replies, but I am not. I just decided to come and check this morning and found your answer.

As to the problem, I decided I didn't want to wait any longer with this Trojan on my system so I opened BitDefender and did a FULL scan. It found this item again and on that final screen where you can choose to take no action, or to delete ... I selected delete and carried through with it. Then I scanned again and nothing was found.

So, BD real time protection was not turned off when I deleted this. Is there anything further I should do to make sure I'm clean?

I have the same trojan but Bit Defender would not clean it. I also have Trojan.oficla.z and bit defender can't remove that one either.

Any suggestions.
