  • Same here, had the issue, re-installed, and still have the same issues.

Tried manually activating, and deactivating (or vice versa) and still not gone. But saying that everytime i tried to deactiveate it it would not let me. it gave me the options but the tick always remained in the box

    Any ideas people??

  • i have that same issue too .

and i saw the update tab , in virus signatures its says 0 and engine version its blank .

i try update the bitdefender , and bingo now the bitdefender running normal .

  • Hello,

Please right click on the Bitdefender icon in the system tray and select 'Update Now'. Let me know if the update was successful and if the issue persist.

    Regards,

  • No problem, im in the middle of a full scan so i will let you know the results when finished, about an hour left.

  • I made this post after I updated it. The update was of around 80mb. But the problem was still there, I had to switch back to the 2010 version.

  • Hi,

I believe the reason why you get the Real Time protection disabled is due to the fact that a prior version of BitDefender or another security solution was not properly uninstalled from your computer.

@james_dean1986: You already have a ticket created with us, ID: 201008201008169

@vidbase: you also had a new ticket with us. ID: 201008201005553

I took ownership of both tickets and have sent you both instructions on how to further investigate via email, at the address associated with your forum account. Please send me the log files and, as soon as I will have the results I will send you the resolution.

    Kind regards,

  • Thanks DanyDan, the ticket was for a different problem which I worked round, but then came onto the forum looking for a quick solution to the real-time issue.

Ran the updates, restarted the machine (although it does not suggest to I generally do it after any software mod).... and it appears to all be working fine!

    Thanks.

  • Glad to see the issue was resolved James. Feel free to contact me anytime!

    Yours,

  • Hi DanyDan

my issue was solved , but its appear again and i update bitdefender and restart , its work fine again

could you fix that bug , because its seem appear random and over and over

  • Hi Okky,

Can you please elaborate on 'its appear again' ? Please try to reproduce the steps you take about the bug you are referring to.

    Thank you!

  • its refer to , real time protection is disabled and virus signatures goes 0 and engine version its blank .

  • Please follow the steps in this post then send me the requested logs.

    Looking forward to your answer!

  • I used the standard uninstaller, I hoped it deleted all the files. I download the BDIS 2011 again, updated it and its running fine. So far so good. <img class=" /> If the problem occurs again, <_< I will follow the instructions given in the mail and report back.

  • Hi Vidbase,

If everything is OK means that the uninstaller removed all files and a successful installation was done. If you have any further queries feel free to create a topic and I'll be more than happy to assist you further.

    Kind regards,
