Yesterday I scanned a pen drive and found that the no. of skipped items are much greater than scanned items.I don't know why? Log file is attached for reference.
/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=6684" data-fileid="6684" rel="">1283407817_1_01.xml
Was this the first time when you scanned the files?
Were these files scanned on the PC and then transfered on to the pen drive?
What type of files are these?
Hi
@Was this the first time when you scanned the files?
Yes, these files are scanned for the first time by Bitdefender 2011.
@Were these files scanned on the PC and then transfered on to the pen drive?
No, they have never been on the PC and I know that the "Cache" created by Bitdefender is the same for all types of scans. I already have detailed discussion on skipped items "http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=18526", although there is nothing to worry about but however this situation is very odd. I experience this issue while testing Beta version too and forwarded to Beta Webpage but they replied
"This behavior is according to product specifications.
The skipped items are files which were not modified since they were last scanned."
But they didn't reply to my actual query why the no. of skipped items are greater than scanned items? However the said issue remains even in the final release of product. The same issue was in the Bitdefender 2010, but may be for short time. I made some search and found below posts with no relevant reply to the subject issue.

These are different types of files e.g archives, media, documents, installers and executables, etc
Waiting for reply.
Still waiting for reply.
The number of skipped files being grater than the ones scanned is very normal as long as the modified files since the last scan are very few in number.
If you have 200.000 files on your system and the number of modified files by you and the system reach 50.000 then the other 150.000 will be skipped.

I could not get your point, you are requested to elaborate further, since they have never been on the PC and scanned for the first time and even the flash memory drive was plug-ed into my laptop for the first time.
Any reply from anyone?
Any reply would be appreciated.
