Wireless Issues

Hi guys ...


Just desperate here.... i have just spent over 150 on Bitdefender ... and at this stage i'm regretting every penny of it.


I decided to format my pc ,its been a while so its a thing i like to do.


I purchased this Prog .... so i know i'm totally virus free and no problems with the computer.


I install the programme ... BANG I LOOSE MY INTERNET ... cannot connect to my wireless at all ..


So ... uninstall Bit Defender ... the wireless comes back on ..


Install Bit Defender on my Wife's pc, (its a 3 pc version) and then install back on this one ... LOOSE ME WIRELESS AGAIN ....


I'm going NUTS here ,the language is disgusting .... PLEASE HELP >>>>


Now i;m sure its some kind of setting somewhere but i'm dammed if i can find the reason why .... i have the worst headache!!!!

    Please specify the exact version of your BitDefender if its: Antivirus Pro,Internet Security or Total Security.


    When BitDefender is installed have you tried disabling the Firewall to see if you can connect?


    Do you receive any error messages when you try to connect to your wireless or the network is not visible/doesn't exist.

    Its the Internet Security 2011 ....


    Yes .. done the firewall thing to as i did think it was a firewall issue ...


    I couldy connect by the LAN lead but we never use that...


    We did not get any error messages

  • In this case with BitDefender installed please go to C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2011 (if this is the location where you installed the porgram) and run supporttool.exe


    By running this file a log will be created on your desktop.


    Please send me by PM the generated log for analysis.


    If you encounter problems attaching the log you can upload it on www.sendspace.com and send me only the link.
