[solved] Quick Questions

Just installed BDIS 2011 on the PC and have a couple of questions:


Is there anyway to turn on the same little red icon in the bottom right hand corner (system tray?) that was there in 2010? My parents are freaking out that BitDefender isn't working properly!


They recently changed email address and although their BitDefender account's primary email address is the new address, there doesn't seem to be a way to change/sync this in the 'Overview' section of the 'Expert - Dashboard'. Anyway this can be changed to reflect the new email address?

    Hello Kimberly,


    Yes, you can customize this feature.


    -In Expert mode (use the Options button in the upper right corner to select it) -> General tab, just below the Security Status indicator, click on "Add/Edit Alerts". A new window will pop-up and you can select which module to monitor.


    - Alternatively, if you click on View all Issues (in any interface type), you can un-check the box next to the issue and choose to ignore it for a given time frame or permanently.


    Note: This will not disable the module itself, only the status alert monitor.


    I will also send you via PM instructions on how to change the registered email address.

    Thanks for the advice and for the PM. Upon turning on the PC today the BitDefender icon is back in the system tray and BitDefender immediately told me that it wasn't linked to an account and would I like to register it to one?


    What a difference a day makes, eh? Or, more than likely, a restart!
