Bitdefender 2011 (fully Licensed) Cannot Start "real-time Protection"

Hello! I just purchased the software and have installed it on my Windows 7 Ultimate machine. For some reason however, it continuously says 'real time protection disabled'. I have attempted to restart the service, clicking repair, etc.


i also did the suggested supporttool but it didnt create a text file, so i did the sysdump and have the file available to send.


any suggestions will be helpful. i am also running zone alarm pro 9.3.037.

    ZoneAlarm Pro is a firewall product, but you didn't mention which BD product you are using with it - Antivirus Pro, Internet Security or Total Security. We need to know which BD product you have installed and also if you have any other security programs installed or previously uninstalled (sometimes remnants are left behind).


    Also, is your Win7 system 32-bit or 64-bit?


    Once tech support sees your post and the answers to my questions, they will let you know if they want you to upload your sysdump file.
