Upgrade Version Internet Security 2011

I bought BitDefender Internet Security 2011, purchase on a store. My previous version (Internet Security 2009 with a licence for 2 years) is still valid for 14 days.

Is it necessary to uninstall this version or can I overwrite this previous version with te enclosed dvd. And which registration key should I mentionned. (the one still valid for 14 days or the new with 7 characters).

Thx

    Hi makemyday,

    Welcome on the forum!

You will find herewith the link to deinstall the previous version

    uninstall BD 2011

You could find as well Yann's nice report (just to improve your french) how to deinstall and reinstall BD.

    deinstall previous BD, install 2011...

In a few words, switch off internet, install the uninstall tool downloaded on the forum (Yann's link) on the bureau... then deinstall the old software, restart the machine in safe mode (F8 or suppress) run the uninstall software and check everything runs smoothly. Then install your latest 2011 version. switch on internet, good surf!

Concerning the key, well, I don't remember. I switched tonight from 2010 to 2011 with the old key and I kept my 25 valid days, but you have a brand new cd-rom... that's different... Well you could wait for the 14 days to lapse and start from nought with another key?

Check the forum, you will probably find a few answers on this matter.

A BD expert will answer you soon probably.

    Good surf,
