1) What does it mean by "Disinfect failed (object was not found)"? Someone kindly elaborate it.

2) What happen to the infected file "Between" the Bitdefender "detects it" and "takes action on it" at the end of scan?

3) Is there any chance that the Real Time Protection takes action on it before the respective scan task takes action?

Today I perform Device Detection Scan of my USB flash memory with Bitdefender Antivirus 2010 and it detects some infection but it display "delete failed (object was not found)".

Kindly reply my queries which I already asked.

Also kindly note that when I re-scan it , there was found no infection. I also search them manually on my flash memory but they are not physically present.

Hello ONT,

It is very possible (and most likely) that the RTP is blocking access, deleting or disinfecting the infected files before the on demand scanner (this depends on the actions you set on Custom Level for RTP). This is usually happens on Contextual Scans or for a Device Detection scan.

In order to make sure that the file was detected by RTP you can open BitDefender > click on View Logs > search for the lines "Infected files detected" with the time of your scan. To make sure it is the same file you can double click on it as see the details.

You can see in the screen shot how it looks like.
