[resolved]Whats Wrong With Bd 2011?
I have installed it recently and this software is really a headache! Every time I restart the system bd has a problem. For example now in Antivirus/Virus Scan tab my System Tasks have been vanished.
The big problem is that the settings are not saved. In Option/Preference when I turn some part on (like Automatic Update) and press OK and come back to see the results it has been turned off automatically!
This software is one of the worst I had! I Repair it, used troubleshoot but it does not work.
I have windows 7 Home Premium x64.

Well, You may never get the help you are seeking. I have been a "happy" BitDefender customer for several years without incident. However five or six months ago my Bit Defender product began giving me trouble. I have experienced EXTREME difficulty getting my issue straightened out. I have been communicating with Christian Radcu regarding the problem I have been having with my product.(ticket ID 201011051003181, 201011041000791 and 201008261010401) One of the problems I was having was with viruses attacking my computer that BitDefender did not find nor remove/quarantine. I had to take my computer to the shop numerous times last year to have viruses removed that BitDefender should have removed. My recent problem is that everytime I try to run a scan, my computer freezes or crashes. In addition to this, I am experiencing the exact same problem that you are having. I sent BitDefender the name of four trojans that I identified on my computer and they recommended that I go to another website and download something called registreset.exe. This did not remove the trojans nor fix my problem. This year, I was not going to renew my product because of the trouble that I was having. He convinced me that if I purchased the 2011 product my issue would be resolved. IT WAS NOT! He then convinced me that if I purchased the back-up/rescue disk it would resolve my problem. IT HAS NOT! I requested a refund. He has continously ignored my requests for a refund and has kept me hanging on for several months. Response to e-mails to him are EXCEPTIONALLY SLOW or nonexistant. Several e-mails requesting help were never replied to. AT THIS POINT I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY SUBSCRIPTION for 2012 AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BITDEFENDER FOR ANYONE. Here I sit with a product that has not worked in over six months, the company has not been able to fix it, and they refuse to honor my request for a refund. Ocassionally I get a response that appears to indicate that he is trying to help, however it appears to me that this may be a smoke screen. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AT BITDEFENDER? Does anyone know who to contact and/or how to contact someone at BitDefender that can/will resolve these kind of issues?0 -

@RalphC: If you are that certain that nobody will help you, why you post in here ? With all the respect but the issue you have/had with your PC was malware related. NO antivirus Company will ever have a virus definition for ALL viruses launched into void therefore no 100% detection. To increase that detection we need cooperation from our users sending samples so all the new threats will be added.
Furthermore, providing just some names of the trojans will not help Us clear your PC.
Even more, registreset.exe is a BitDefender tool that a colleague of mine wrote it for you. It is NOT a public tool for anyone to use, you should appreciate that.
To stay on the same subject, bear in mind that having multiple tickets open with us will only confuse the colleague(s) working with you and even make the issue you encounter more complicated to solve.

The reason of the issue was the TuneUp Utilities installed and running its real time protection driver at PC startup. Follow the steps enclosed in the email I sent you and the issue will be resolved.0 -
