Where Does Bd Send Spam?

I am a very new user of BitDefender. 2011 (M$ Outlook Win 7 64.)


These past days since installing bd I see Outlook is showing that 23 messages were coming in. Yet only 5 hit the in box.


The junk, spam & deleted folders are empty!!


I'm almost sure I am not getting messages that are legitimate. Can anyone help me?

    Hello,


    First of all allow me to welcome you on our Forums!


    Please provide me with the following info:


    - what BitDefender product are you using;


    - what Microsoft Outlook are you using;


    - Outlook or Outlook Express;


    Also follow the steps below and let me know if the issue persist:


    - open BitDefender Security Center by double click on the icon located on your PC Desktop and switch it to Expert View from the Options Button;


    - go to Antivirus tab and click on the Custom Level button;


    - uncheck the box next to "Scan incoming e-mail"


    - click on OK;


    Test to see if the issue still occur and please let me know the results.

    Thanx Daniel. I am using BD Internet security 2011. & M$ Outlook 2007 (came with Office 2007) Win 7 Pro 64


    I did what you suggested and found junk/spam in my inbox. BTW the only rules in outlook I have are to move some incoming mail into folders other than the inbox.


    I will now reverse the instructions you gave me.
