Bitdefender 2011 Pro

I am using three versions of Armadillo wrapped programs for the ham

radio community using Bitdefender

Pro 2011 on Windows 7 32 bit:

"all three of my programs are showing errors when loaded:

FT-2800 shows a access violation tried to write to 0x78D6E851, program

terminated

FT-8800 shows a runtime error 91 , object variable or with block variable

not set

FT857 Basic shows a error 429, active x component can't create object, in

line 20 or procedure form_Load of Form Form1

It must be the Bitdefender pro program, I booted the computer in safe mode,

and the programs work correctly. What I mean by that is the programs will at

least open in safe mode, I guess I will have to uninstall the 2011 version,

I have had problems with this version in other apps."

Two weeks ago a similar issue was found with the Avira product. A hotfix was

done on module avipbb.sys which resolved the issue. I know that a number of

A/V programs use the same core code - maybe Bitdefender is in the same

situation as Avira.

If you wish to test your system using the developers programs then you can download from

this page:

http://www.g4hfq.co.uk/download.html

The programs will run in demo mode for 2 weeks without registration

keys. Thanks

    Hello and Happy New Year !

    Please try to disable the following features and test to see if the applications can start normally:

    - open BitDefender Security Center and switch to Expert View from the Options button;

    - go to the Antivirus tab then click on the Advanced Settings button;

    - disable AVC and IDS then click on OK;

    - test to see if the issue still occur;

    - go to the Antivirus tab and disable the Real Time Protection for 5 minutes;

    - test to see if the issue is resolved;

    Please provide me with the tests results. Also follow the steps explained in THIS article then send me a PM with the generated log file along with a detailed description of the issue you encounter and the link to this topic.

    Looking forward to your answer!
