Auction Sentry Blocked By Bd

I have now upgraded to Bitdefender Total Security 2011 in an attempt to solve the problem. Bitdefender appears now to updtate to the correct virus signature, given below

Virus Signatures 6513884

Engine Version 7.35423

The problem now is that Auction Sentry is prevented from starting with the following error message

"Error: Access violation at 0x005B96EC (tried to read from 0x162B1111), program terminated."

I never had this problem before upgrading Bitdefender.

Do you have a solution to the problem please.

The error is most likely caused by the AVC module but I'm not sure.

To see exactly please open BitDefender in expert mode and go to Antivirus -> Shield tab ->Advanced settings -> and in here disable AVC.

I've tried this but it makes no difference. I get the same error message as before.

Could someone please give a solution to this problem of incompatibility between Bitdefender and other software. It is clearly a Bitdefender issue as when Bitdefender is uninstalled the other software works correctly.

You need to give us more specific information - what "other Software" are you asking about. Which BD product are you using? Sometimes it is a simple firewall issue, not a true incompatibility, but without more specific information, tech support cannot answer such a generic question.

I've tested this application in here too and it runs without any problems with BitDefender TS 2011.

To further investigate this situation I have sent you an email and waiting for your reply.

Please also specify if you are running with the latest version of Auction Sentry from the official site because that's the latest version used to test.
