I encountered a worm that crashes BitDefender and causes it to reboot. The worm name is Autorun.VB.EW.worm.
I saved the worm to a disk.
Does anyone have any info on this?
The provided detection name was not given by BitDefender, and as such no information could be available from us.
Scan that infected file from "www.virustotal.com" and if Bitdefender detects it, then note down the detection name.
I don't get a message from BitDefender as it just crashes but I am uploading the worm to VIRUS TOTAL as I type this. I will post the info when I get it.
I would suggest you open a support ticket related to that crash.
Regarding the malicious file, you could just PM me either a copy of the file, a link, the detection name or at least a hash of the file in question.
Okay... I used the BitDefender Online Scanner and the reported virus is called Trojan.Agent.VB.BEF
Attached is the report.

I see no reason for BitDefender to crash, that could be related to this detection. I do not believe this is related to this exact detection. You could try downloading and scanning the EICAR test file and see if that gives you any trouble.
Please open a support ticket so as to gather any crash data for a possible fix.
