backdoor.generic.115821 has been detected byBitdefender in about 20% of teh files on my PC. Bitdefender does not seem capable of removing it completely.
Thanks
Peter
That sounds highly improbable. Could you please post a scan log so we can see some locations for the detections?

Here is a log from Malware. i had to uninstall the Bitdefende as it was slowing the PC down dramatically and making it unusable

According to this, those files are malicious. And this is probably what you say you were seeing with BitDefender. However, 'No action taken' from a third-party application is not a substitute for a BitDefender log. When you have the time, please reinstall our product and ask it to disinfect your system, then post the log if problems still remain and we can troubleshoot it from there.
Thank you.

Thanks, I will re-install. I do have a problem in that I do not seem to be able to run a scan to completion and am thus struggling to get you a log. Will keep you posted
