Uninstall I Security 2011 Failed

We purchased 2011 and tried to install. 2010 was removed by the installation proceudre and the new installation appeared to go through correctly. When we tried to register and activate it did not accept the key. We decided to reinstall (just in case there was a problem with the original installation). Uninstall using windows uninstall resulted in the crsahdump screen when rebooting. We were only able to boot the computer in safe mode, and eventually used system restore.

Then tried using the bitdefender uninstall with the same result! Any suggestions on how to solve the problem.

P.S: You should use Bitdefender Uninstall Tool for uninstalling BD 2010 and BD 2011.

We used the full install package which should automatically uninstall any previous versions - and appeared to.

We tried to uninstall 2011 using both the uninstall tool and the windows add remove programs with the same results - blue screen on start up and crash dump takes place. The whole screen is on too short a time to read anything else, and the reboot cycles starts again.

We are unable to register bitdefender and that is why we decided to uninstall and reinstall
