Gen.variant.buzy.750 And Curse.com Client

Hi, starting yesterday I tried to load up a client from Curse.com to install game addons and bitDefender 2011 Internet Security was advising that gen.variant.buzy.750 was attacking the computer and it blocked the application as well as the "virus". I contacted Curse.com through their forums and they advised that they don't have any issues on their end and that there shouldn't be an issue at all. I have the .exe file that causes it if i try to reinstall the application.

I've used this client before and I never had the issue until yesterday. I was wondering if you could advise me on how to forward the "corrupted" file or if you could check if this just a false positive.

I am running as stated, BitDefender Internet Security 2011 on Windows 7 64bit.

I had exactly the same experience and concern.

Cuse says this is a BD false-positive issue. but several other AV products are alerting on this as well so things are a bit murky.

'We've researched this issue, and found that the AV software is malfunctioning, and producing a false positive. It is doing the same thing for other desktop applications.

AV software doesn't like the fact that the client is making a secure Internet connection, and assumes it's a virus. We assure you that the client is not infected by a virus.'

Thank you BitDefender for fixing this through an update. I would've loved a reply from you guys advising me of this, but I learned it was fixed through Curse.com forums.
