Internet Explorer And Firefox Blocked By Bf

I have just installed Bit Defender 2011 total security. I had a very nasty virus preventing me from doing anything but this was actully cleared before I installed BD by different AV.

However I still have a trojan which is redirecting my searches via google. I hve run a full and quick scan it it picked up some minor tracking cookies but nothing else.

This morning I turned on the laptop and I got a message from BD saying internet explorer - iexplore.exe has been terminated because it was deemed harmful. This also happened with firefox and I saw it once come up twice with the same thing for svchost.exe. I have already updated the virus database this morning but I am not sure if this is a false positive as I think the trojan is in windows itself as I have also run scans on Malware bytes and it picked up nothing. I know you can add exceptions to program lists but I am not sure if I should do this in case this is not a false positive

Any help would be great
