Infected Usb Drive

Hi,

I have infected USB memory stick. Which has 3 GB of data. When I scan it with Bit defender 2011 anti virus program. It shows that there are viruses and bit defender has remove them but actually it has not.

Infect all the folder are given ".exe" extension and all shows the same size of 664KB

Bit defender replies with the virus removal message of "Trojan.Generic.KDV.192086". The antivirus program says it has been deleted but I have scan the drive 3 times the same messages comes.

Is there any tools available to fix this problem?

My data is important so if i can get that it would be great help.

The situation you reported has been acknowledged by our team and we are currently working on a fix which will be released in one of our future updates.

As a workaround you can manually go to the infected file location and delete it.

Please note that you need to temporarily disable the real time protection in BitDefender during this process.

In order to disable the real-time protection please open BitDefender, click the "Options" button in the upper right side of the interface, Switch UI to "Expert View"; Go to "Antivirus" > "Shield" and click on "Real-time protection is enabled", select the time interval that suites your troubleshooting needs and click "OK" (the message will change to "Real-time protection is disabled"). The real-time protection should be enabled after performing the troubleshooting procedure.

Thanks. Actually these are folder which contents some of my data. The folder names are given extension .exe.

If i get fix for this it would be great help. I will wait for few days. Then may be i will consider removing my data if nothing can be done.

Hi If you know little DOS then you will have to change attribute of that folder which has been hidden by that virus. If you want to see that hidden data then just go to folder option and chose "show hidden files and folder" and Also uncheck "hide protected system files" and then just exploer ur usb stic and u will see ur data in hidden folder....
