Hi All,
I had a deep scan of my PC and it came up with the report that it is unable to disinfect this issue Application.Spy.MailPig.A .
Does anybody know hwta to do?
Thank you.
Hi there,
Can you post the scan log showing the infection?
Hi Cristi,
I am sorry but I don't know what you mean. So I am sending the screenshot.
Rgds.
Can you select Delete or Quarantine for that item?
At the end of the scan after you hit Continue, press the Show log button.
It will open an Internet Explorer window and you need to save the log by going to File->Save as
I did both and delete and quarantine. Then I choose continue it does a few seconds scan again and opens the same window as I sent to you. I.e to choose the action and continue. No "show log". But I clicked on the name of the virus and it opened this little box, as shown in the screenshot here.
Thanks.
Ok,the screenshot shows that the infected item is located in an email in Thunderbird.
To see exactly in which email you need to post the scan log.
Here's how you can retrieve an existing log.
- Open BitDefender and click the "View Logs" link on the lower right; Click the "Antivirus" tab on the left;
- In the "On-demand tasks" list (the one on the bottom) look for the latest (closest to the top) entry that reads "Deep System Scan" under the "Task Name" column and "Scan Finished" under the "Action name"; Double-click this entry and click the "View Scan Log" button at the bottom of the window that just popped up; A browser window will open displaying the scan report; Save this file on a location of your choice and attach it here.
Thank you for detailed steps. The file is attached.
/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=7869" data-fileid="7869" rel="">ViewLog.csv.txt
I still have this issue. Today I have uninstalled Thunderbird and still have the same warning after the Deep scan.
Please help.
