Bd Not Removing Virus From Usb

Hello:

I have Bitdefender 2011. Whenever I scan myu USB these two files come up:

importantFILES.EXE

autorun.inf

BD says they are deleted, but if I scan again they are still there. And if I try to back up my USB on my computer, BitDefender detects them and prevents me from copying the USB. Also, I've noticed that the AnitPhishing feature really slows down the checking of my gmail.

Hi there,

A temporary fix would be for you to open BitDefender in Expert Mode and go to Antivirus ->Virus scan tab -> Device scanning ->double click on it ->Custom ; and in here you need to change the First action from Disinfect to Delete.

Insert again the device and scan it.

A permanent fix will be delivered as soon as possible.

Regarding the Antiphising case,from the Antivirus module add to the Whitelist: mail.google.com and let me know the outcome.

I already tried to change the first action to delete. That didn't work. I tried "move to quarantine" but that didn't work either. I scanned my USB again today and the viruses appeared once again. It's like some program on the USB is creating the files again after they are deleted.

I don't think this is a related problem, but the small BD icon has disappeared from the "notification area". It is not hidden. I changed its setting to "show always" but it is still gone. The "bdagent" service is running. I used the BdStart.exe file in the BD Folder (in Program Files) to access the Dashboard. Normally I just doubeclick the icon.

Gmail seems to be ok.

I found this strange file in the Bit defender 2011 Folder (In the BitDefender Folder in Program Files). 獷楬汢捯污 The file-name language is possibily Korean. I cannot delete it. My computer says its size is 0 bytes. I've had many "Asian Viruses" on my computer lately because I am working in Korea. Is it possible that BD itself might be hijacked or infected?

Most of the USB scans I do are freezing. They get stuck on one file and they never end. I think the file extension might be .wps. i opened it in MS WORD 2007.

I found the same sort of file (Korean possibly) in my Bd folder and it too refused to let me delete, take ownership, or shred the file any number of ways. I do know it loads with windows because my shredding program informed me it was in use. To delete it (and it did not affect Bd performance) was to go into Safe Mode, find the file, Hold the "Shift" key and press delete - okay the delete, the file was gone and has not returned in normal windows. Hope that helps.

The file with chinese characters is a legitimate Bitdefender file.
