I truely am gobsmacked. I've been a paying customer of Bit-def for over a year. Bit-def is aparently ranked 1'st in the world. So...
How did "win7 antispyware 2012" install itself on my computer? Render my computer useless by disabling all internet access, exe files and installing itself into Win 7 Security Center.
So, run full scan with Bit Def. It finds nothing wrong. Reports - System OK. Yet, win7 antispyware 2012 is only giving 1 option - Pay $60 to have the virus (itself) removed.
So I call bit def suport line. The person answering had no clue. Told me to check my mails for instructions. Instructions - Do a full system scan and wait 48 hours for help!!!
I'm still waiting! In the mean time, I've had to manually remove the virus program manually editig registry.
Great Bit-def. I will not renew this year. You can bet on that. Installed spyware doc and it seems to find alot more problems than Bit defeneder... and Im sure the support is much better.
