File Will No Delete After Bd Cleaning

BD says a file on my PC (links.txt) has the Generic Qhost CE053044 virus. See attached screenshot.

Upon scanning it, BD informs me it has cleaned it, however, once I go to delete the file, the same BD virus warning appears, and the file remains in the directory.

How may I completely remove the file?

Hi Scott and welcome back.

That file is clean, but one of the links in it points to an infected website. That's why BitDefender says is infected.

You have 2 options:

1. Turn off BitDefender Real Time Protection for 5 minutes and you manually delete that file.

2. Reboot your PC in Safe Mode and delete that file using Windows Explorer.

I discovered what is going on. I use a program related to publishing content and it reviews content on the net based on search terms. The term I was searching for was 'virus hoax'. This program appears to use a text file (the one in question) to track the terms, and in doing so, BD must have picked up the name.

I added the text file to the exclusion list and it seems to work.

I am using BitDefender Antivirus Pro 2011. I have been receiving pop up notifications saying that Bitdefender has blocked multiple viruses and i need to scan and reboot the system to clean. But even after doing that same pop ups are coming which make my laptop really slow and it hangs.

The pop up includes the following information:

Virus Name: Gen:Trojan.Heur.FU.Krx

Location: C:\Windows\Temp\tmp000

File access blocked.

This problem is occuring from a few days and scanning and restarting the laptop is also not helping.

What should I do to resolve this problem ??
