I have a 3 PC key that works on one laptop but when I try to register on a Vista laptop it comes with this:
If I click "Yes, register" it will work but only for 5 min and then its changes to Licence key is invalid.

I do believe that you encounter that error because you are trying to install BitDefender Total Security with or without backup and your license key is for the other software. Please send me the license key via PM and I will send you the correct installation kit file via email.
