Bit Defender 2010 is picking up a threat when I'm running a scan...It won't allow me to delete the threat...It's Win32.Worm.Nimda.R...Is there someone who could tell me step by step how to get rid of the threat? Thanks!
I've also run a couple of different malware scans and neither will pick up this threat...
Anyone know when the fix for this is supposed to come?
Regarding Win32.Worm.Nimda.R and Trojan.Clicker.HTML.IFrame.AK - Bit Defender replied back to me via email that it was a problem with LavaSoft Ad-ware but I and others don't believe that is the case since only one of my computers has this worm and my others don't but all computers have Adware installed. Another concern that BitDefender isn't addressing this problem is that I see a forum link from Sept 2009

so this appears to not be something new but something that Bit Defender hasn't addressed apparently in 2 years?! This lack of support from Bit Defender has me thinking of not renewing and perhaps not even using this software until it expires. Very disappointed in Bit Defender.
I just ran another scan today (8 days later) and BitDefender said computer was clean; no threats. Now I can't trust this software.
Win32.Worm.Nimda.R is a legitimate virus signature and the conflict is due to Ad-aware on 64 bit systems but with other security programs as well.
Ad-aware loads in the memory virus signatures unencrypted. The problem occurs when BitDefender scans the memory and finds those signatures loaded.
