Possible Malware

Hello, I hope this isn't malware...

Recently, my computer stalled and I pressed the reset button.

The computer began to restart but then the screen went black and a small pink and green box popped up with the word "Hi...?" in the center, which moved around the screen.

I reacted by immediately pulling the ADSL cable out of my modem and switched the computer off.

I have BitDefender Total Security 2011 and have run a deep system scan but found no issues.

Have you encountered this before and is there a way to deal with the problem?

It has been two days and it hasn't happened again.

Hi lulu65. The first thing I would do is to check the Event Viewer by Windows. YOu can google on where to find it. Scroll to the date when it occured and check if you can see any error indication. Hope that helps...
