Please Define The Functions Of Autoscan And The Active Virus Control

Hello,

Could someone please explain to me what exactly the 'autoscan' feature is doing?

Also, I am asking the same question for the 'active virus control' setting. What risk does turning off 'active virus control' have on my computer's security. I have noticed that I cannot run some programs when the 'active virus control' is on, I must completely turn it off for the app. to work.

Those articles answered my questions.

I am going to add the process from a certain application to the excluded processes list and see if that works. I tried before adding the .exe file to the excluded files and folders list but active scanning would continue to halt the application from starting.
