This PC is running XP Pro SP-2, Bitdefender 2011.

When Bitdefender originally identified and I believe quarantined this Trojan my system failed to boot into any mode. I had to use the Windows Reinstall / Repair function to get the system to reboot. A week later now during a deep system scan the virus has reappeared. I am hesitant to delete and reboot the system and face the same boot failure again. Where is this virus propagated from and can I remove it manually?
